How To Integrate With National Produce Consultants (NPC)

This guide can be used to configure an electronic integration with Crunchtime and this vendor. This information is based on the last known setup and requirements from the vendor.

Integration Points

• Purchase Order – Standard PO
• Confirm Receipt – NPC sends email to restaurant manager directly
• Confirm Terms - not available
• Invoice – Standard e-invoice
• Bid Sheets – Standard format

Vendor Setup - Header

• Vendor Code – Create vendor records for each distributor. The Vendor Code can be decided on by the customer; let the Vendor contact know the code to use for each distributor.
• VO Mode - FTP
• Interface - Standard
• URL - nproduce.com/orders

Vendor Setup – Location Details

• Account # - DistributorID_ERPSID code from NPC for each location
• Reference - not used. Repeat the Account #
• User Name/Password – Same credentials will be used by all locations

Vendor Bids

• Vendor Product Numbers are 6 digits
• Markets must be 1:1 to each Distributor. Fresh Concepts cannot map multiple Market Names to a single distributor.

Other Considerations

• Some produce distributors, such as Brother’s Produce-Dallas, work with ERP companies such as ProducePro to process their Purchase Orders. The ERP system validates the POs, and if something is incorrect, this can delay processing an Invoice to NPC (usually a 1-2 day delay). NPC has in the past worked with ProducePro to process files more frequently than once per day, so it would be wise to make sure that NPC confirms that ProducePro is sending unique invoices with the ship status date/time stamp, so invoices are sent more frequently.
• NPC typically only sends Invoices one time daily, midday. If a distributor misses the cutoff, the file will be sent the next day. A report can be generated and sent to report any late invoices.
