This article outlines the functionality and changes for resetting passwords depending on whether the campus has the "Reset Password" setting enabled. If your campus already has password reset functionality turned on where learners see a “Forgot password” option when they log in to their own profile, this change in workflow will not apply to you.
For Managers and Admins:

Feature: Managers and Admins will see a "Reset Password" button in the employee profile of individuals within their hierarchy.

Process:

Clicking on the "Reset Password" button will generate and display a temporary password.

The manager or admin can share this temporary password directly with the employee.

For Learners:

Behavior: Learners will need to reach out to their manager to obtain a new temporary password.

Changes:

Learners will receive a new temporary password instead of their previous password.

After logging in with the temporary password, learners can change their password.

Optional Email Field: If learners do not have an email address, they can leave this field blank.
