There are a few areas in the application where a user can input minimum and maximum pars for Location Products. These include the Location Products summary screen and the Storage Par Values and Storage Sequence screens in Enterprise Manager and Net-Chef respectively.
The minimum and maximum pars that are entered in the Location Products screen are used to make suggested order calculations, while those entered in the Storage Sequence screen are used only in the Customer Order Requisition transaction. These fields can be hidden if not required and their visibility is controlled by a preference setting.
The preference setting "Display Min and Max Par Columns for Central Storage Locations on Sequence screens" can be found in Enterprise Manager by going to EM Client/EM Web >> Corporate >> Preferences >> Inventory Tab.
A central storage location is responsible for receiving products from vendors and issuing them to customer outlets, while non-central storage is assigned to customer outlets that receive products from a central storage location via the Customer Order transaction.
If the "Display Min and Max Par Columns for Central Storage Locations on Sequence screens" preference is checked, the min and max par columns will be visible for both central and non-central storage locations. If not checked, these columns will be visible only for non-central storage locations. This affects Enterprise Manager's Storage Par Values screen and Net-Chef's Storage Sequence screen.
