Why did the CDP Service stop and not automatically start up again?
The Crunchtime Data Pump (CDP) Service is a utility that exchanges data between the Crunchtime
applications and other external devices and programs. It is designed to run in the background as a service on the PC since a service will restart automatically if the PC needs to be restarted
If you need Crunchtime Support to Troubleshoot this issue, please take the following steps
Step 1:
- Zip up the entire CDP_Service folder.
Step 2:
-
- Go into your Services and right-click on CDP Service.
- Select Properties
- Screenshot each tab's information.
- Send to CrunchTime
Step 3: Only if requested by Crunchtime Support
- Open Windows Event Viewer
- Select “Windows Logs” -> “System”
- Click “Filter Current Log...”
- Enter “6005, 6006” in the highlighted field and click OK.
- Click “Date and Time” so the newest data is on the bottom.
- Please highlight the bottom (newest) row and select/highlight up to the first row in the previous month.
-
- Right-click the highlighted rows and select “Save Selected Events...”
- Name it anything, and be sure to change “Save as type” to “Text (Tab delimited) (*.txt).”
- Send CrunchTime the file.
