How do I deactivate a Location in Crunchtime?
When a client closes a store/location, technically, the only thing they need to do is make that location inactive in Enterprise Manager. However, to be proactive, here is a list of suggested changes that they might want to consider to suit their business once the store’s doors are closed:
- Transfer any inventory that is going to other locations from Net Chef.
- Conduct and enter the final inventory.
- Post Inventory (Final).
- Post-Labor.
- Transfer employee profiles (for those employees being transferred) in Net Chef to their new locations instead of creating new profiles.
- Terminate the rest of the employee profiles for people who had not transferred but left the company.
- Export Inventory and Labor.
- Decide on whether to keep or remove the location from Hierarchies. There are pros and cons to each. Some people want to remove them to avoid errors and issues with a deactivated store being part of a Hierarchy. Others want to keep the location in to pull reports on historical data.
- Deactivate the location in Enterprise Manager.
- Deactivate / Change user access to that location in Net Chef / Enterprise Manager.
If this Location is set up with ConneX integration. Submit a request to Crunchtime Support.
