Why are our Ideal Hours low?
Ideal Hours are based on Sales Forecasting and Staffing Level Templates.
- One common reason for Low Ideal hours is If you have historical sales in time increments that aren't within your Sales Hours of Operation. For more information, refer to "Why doesn't our Sales Forecast breakdown match the Total Sales Forecast for the day?".
- Be sure to compare the Staffing Level Templates "Scheduling Based on" and the Labor Schedules Day View breakdown.
- When the Staffing Level Template's "Scheduling based on" is Day or Week, the system will only calculate Ideal Hours for each Position displayed on the weekly Labor Schedule screen. It will not attempt to calculate or display ideal numbers of employees on the daily Labor Schedule screen based on those Staffing Level Templates. A Staffing Level Template linked to a Labor Schedule may contain Positions that are not eligible at the Location, either because they are inactive or have incompatible Concepts. The system should only calculate the ideal # of employees and hours for Positions eligible for scheduling.
