How can I troubleshoot Consumption in Net-Chef's Prep Report?
The Prep Report will suggest prep quantities for all recipes active at this location that have been flagged by corporate to be included in this report. It can be used to plan production for prep recipes and recipes that are prepped informally and will not be produced through Net-Chef Daily Prep.
Daily Consumption is the suggested number of batches needed for the day based on projected consumption, rounded based on the "Prep Report Cons. Rounding" rule defined for the recipe.
Here are some things to check if you have questions regarding the report's Consumption
Check Production Setups:
- Check the Prep Time and Shelf Life settings on the Enterprise Manager Recipe screen. Ensure they accurately reflect the recipe's preparation time and storage duration.
- Confirm that Batch Rounding Based On is set appropriately for the recipe's production needs. Adjust if necessary for precise reporting.
- Review the Default Storage Container setting to ensure it matches the container size intended for storing the produced recipe.
Check Recipe and Location Setup:
- Check the "Include this recipe in the Net-Chef Prep Report" option on the Recipe Production Tab. Ensure it's enabled.
- If the recipe is location-specific, verify it's correctly configured for each relevant location. Ensure the recipe is active and assigned to the appropriate locations.
Check Suggested Order Setup:
- Examine the Consumption information on the Suggested Order screen to accurately reflect the recipe's expected consumption patterns.
- Confirm that the Production Driven By settings align with the periods used to calculate Consumption Factors. Adjust if necessary for accurate projections.
Check Menu Mix Environment:
- If operating in a Menu Mix environment, ensure that Consumption Measured By is set to Sales to capture 15-minute Consumption information accurately.
- Check that Sales Forecasting Based on" is set to Menu Mix (Recipe Sales) to access 15-minute Sales Forecast data from the Menu Mix files.
Check Sales Forecasting Setup:
- In Restaurant environments, ensure Sales Forecasts are complete and accurate for the selected time frame and location.
Check Data Entries:
- Review data entries (Sales and Menu Mix) for consumption and sales forecasts. Check for missing or erroneous entries that could affect the accuracy of the Prep Report.
- Look for inconsistencies or outliers in the data. Investigate and correct any discrepancies found.
Check System Configuration:
- Review system configurations related to Prep Reports. Check settings such as reporting periods, data sources, and integration with other modules for accuracy.
- Ensure there have been no recent system changes or updates that may have inadvertently affected Prep Report functionality.
