Why aren't Daily Prep transactions generated when a Location is set up for Auto-Daily Prep?
Locations can be set to Auto-Daily Prep by selecting Auto-Daily Prep for sales depletion in the Enterprise Manager's Location Daily Prep section.
When Auto-Daily Prep for sales depletion is checked, the system will "neutralize" variances in the Actual/Theoretical Cost reports. Net-Chef will automatically create a Daily Prep transaction (triggered by Menu Mix depletion) to make enough to fulfill the sales of each depleted prep-eligible recipe where the "On Hand" quantity was < the "Sold" quantity.
Besides the On Hand quantity requirement, a Recipe will be included in an Auto-Daily Prep transaction only if all of the following are true:
- The Recipe must be active.
- The producing Location must be added to the Location tab of the Recipe Details screen in Enterprise Manager. On this tab, the "Production Type" must be set to 'Production' and the "POS Decrement" must be set to 'Item'.
- A Prep Station must be selected for the recipe on the Production tab in the Recipe Details screen in Enterprise Manager.
- The Prep Station must be linked to a storage location at the producing location.
- The recipe must have a Location Product record at the producing location; it does not need to be active.
- The storage location assigned to the product must be the one that is linked to the recipe's prep station.
- If there is an Effective Date for the recipe, it must be ≤ the Daily Prep Date.
- If there is an Expiration Date for the recipe, it must be > the Daily Prep Date.
