The Recipe Modeling Tab is based on Market Price, unlike the Margin Report which uses Location Product Cost.
The Modeling Tab considers all Vendor Bid Prices by any Vendor to that Market (even $0.00 Bids) and uses the lowest Bid Price or Contract Price.
The Margin Report is based on the Location Product Cost and POS Decrement setup.
- When the POS Decrement is set to Component, this is the sum of the Issue Cost values of the Recipe Components (the cost per portion if made today). The product's contract or lowest bid price in the location's market will be used if a component does not have an Issue Cost value.
- When the POS Decrement is set to Item, the cost is based on the Issue Cost for the Recipe's Location Product (i.e., the cost per portion of current inventory). If this value is displayed, it may not match the “Recipe Details” view, which always shows the current component costs and their sum.
