How can I fix my Posted Menu Mix data?
A User will need the NC–Administrative Options >Unpost Period Inventory – Enables the "Unpost Inventory" option on the Administration menu.
When Inventory is unposted, transaction and inventory data for that period can be edited, so the Final for Post Inventory must be re-reviewed before re-posting. Unposting action is found in the Administration Menu in Net-Chef.
To correct the price or conversion for a product depleted during Menu Mix, you must Undo and Reprocess Menu MIx (Enterprise Manager>Interfaces). This can only be done if the Post Period is NOT Posted. If you need to Unpost Periods after you have entered Final For Post Inventory Counts, you'll need to Reset the Inventory Status (permission-based action on Create/Review Net-Chef Inventory Screen)
Resetting Inventory will delete the Inventory Counts, so you'll want to export them before resetting the Inventory (the SQL and instructions to pull counts in Import format are attached if needed). You may also have Exports that need to be undone before being able to Unpost; those will be available for export once the Inventories are Posted back up. If you have saved Scheduled Counts (Daily Counts), you can not reset them and, therefore, cannot unpost them. Once the Menu Mix is Reprocessed, you'll need to Enter, Review, and Post your Inventories.
Recap of steps
-
-
Export each count (choose 1)
- Export from Net-Chef Inventory Review or View Screen (use this if you are manually entering the counts in Net-Chef) or
- SQL Attached (use this if you plan to import via CDP)
-
Unpost each Location's Inventory
- Net-Chef > Administration>Unpost Inventory
- Ensure cost/units/conversions are correct
- Undo and Reprocress Menu Mix
-
Export each count (choose 1)
Sometimes, you want to Reprocess the old files, but other times, you might want to Process fresh data from your POS. See the link below on how to use Refresh POS
Trying to Undo and Reprocess for too many locations/dates can cause performance issues. We suggest you break the locations up into small groups and work a week at a time. Process Menu Mix for each Location (can be done by the batch)
Use exports to re-enter counts. Post each Inventory, you must post the period before entering the next week's count
