Please follow the instructions for your probe that you currently are trying to connect/pair/use and follow the steps:
First, make sure that the Bluetooth feature is turned in the "ON" position so that it can pair to Bluetooth devices.
Here is an article on how to ensure that your Bluetooth settings are on.
ThermoWorks:
- Thermapen Blue
The instrument is switched on by unfolding the probe and turned off by folding the probe until fully located into the rubber probe retainer. When opening the probe, Thermapen Blue will then perform a battery check and flash twice signifying battery level.
When connecting/disconnecting, the instrument’s amber light flashes rapidly 5 times -
RayTemp Blue
Use an iOS or Android device with the app installed to make connections to the instrument. When connected, the Bluetooth symbol will show in the display. Please note: When not connected, the instrument can still be used; however, measurements are only taken when the measurement button is pressed. No readings are stored in the instrument - they are just indicated on the instrument display, until the unit is switched off.
Simply press the On/Off button to turn RayTemp Blue on. Then aim the RayTemp Blue at the target and press the MEASURE button to measure the surface temperature. When the button is released the reading is automatically held and 'HOLD' will be displayed. If the instrument is not connected to Bluetooth within 10 minutes, it will shut down. - Bluetherm One (being discontinued)
When connecting/ disconnecting, the instrument's amber light flashes rapidly 5 times. If the instrument is not connected to a phone/tablet within the set Auto-off interval, it will shut down. When connected to a phone/tablet an amber LED flashes every 10 seconds or when the button is pressed. -
TempTest Blue
The instrument is switched on by pressing the Transmit button. The instrument takes approximately 2 seconds to start up. After this the temperature is displayed and the instrument continues to measure at its set measurement rate (default 1 second). The instrument is now ready for a Bluetooth® connection to a phone or tablet, but can be used without a wireless connection.
5 rapid flashes indicate when connecting or disconnecting. • A single flash every 10 seconds indicates you are still connected. • When connected and the Transmit button is pressed, a single flash indicates that the temperature has been transmitted via Bluetooth wireless technology.
Apply the tip of the probe to the substance, medium or surface to be measured. The sensor is located at the tip of the probe, therefore the minimum depth insertion should be 0.12″ (3 mm).
- Thermapen® ONE Blue
The instrument is switched on by unfolding the probe and turned off by folding the probe
away and lightly pressing the tip into the rubber probe retainer. The probe should not be
rotated more than 180 degrees as damage will occur. It is recommended to store the probe in
the closed position, when not in use.Apply the tip of the probe to the substance, medium or surface to be measured. The sensor
is located at the tip of the probe, therefore the minimum depth insertion should be 1/8-inch
(3 mm).
If your probe is one of the above, after making sure your Bluetooth settings are on and scanning, press the on/off button (transmit button) this will put the probes into pairing mode. Once it is connected to the device the amber LED will flash every 10 seconds or when the button is pressed. Skip down to see how to test & verify that it is connected.
